Overview:
The JTECH-EXD2 is an audio extractor that allows you to de-embed digital audio signal from your HDMI 2.0 source device. It can convert the extracted audio into a 2CH analog signal using 3.5mm analog port or digital audio using the optical output port on extractor. The resolutions supported are 1080P/@120 &144Hz, 4K/@60Hz HDR10. Allows for audio EDID switching (2CH, 5CH, or TV Pass-thru). What makes this extractor unique is the audio embed feature. You can embed analog audio into your HDMI signal or use with older AV equipment that does not have and HDMI inputs.
Setup:

- Remove isolation plastic from extractor and power adapter.
- Place extractor somewhere convenient.
- Connect 5V power adapter to extractor.
- Connect input device to HDMI in port.
- Connect display to HDMI out port of extractor.
- To send digital audio, connect TOSLINK cable to optical out port of extractor.
- To send analog audio, connect 3.5mm analog cable to analog audio out port of extractor.
- To embed audio, connect analog audio source device to 3.5mm audio in port of extractor.
- Set EDID switch according to setup (2CH, 5CH, TV Pass-Thru).
- Enjoy quality audio.
Note* This unit does not support ARC function

Application:

Note* If using the embedded feature, audio will out is only from HDMI out.
Note* If using the extracting feature, audio out can be from HDMI, optical, or analog out.
Troubleshooting:
- If not receiving power to extractor:
- Verify power adapter is connected properly.
- Verify power status indicator is on.
- Test a different power wall outlet.
2. If not receiving a video signal to display:
- Verify HDMI cable connected to source is connected properly to extractor.
- Verify HDMI cable connected to display is connected properly.
- Verify HDMI output status indicator
- Test a different HDMI cable on both the source device and display.
- Try another input on TV or monitor display.
- Test a different source device.
- Verify output resolution and refresh rate from source device is compatible to what extractor can support.
- Verify display can support resolution and refresh rate the source device is outputting.
- Lower resolution source device is outputting.
- Test a shorter HDMI cable.
3. If not receiving audio to audio sound device:
- Verify audio cables are connected properly to audio out ports and to sound devices.
- Verify audio status indicator is on.
- If sending audio via L/R analog port, verify audio format is set to 2CH/Stereo on source device and audio setting is set to 2CH (01) on dip switch.
- If sending audio via optical out port, verify audio format is set to a supported format on source device. (DO NOT set audio format to Dolby Digital Plus).
- Set audio setting to either TV Pass-thru, 5CH, or 2CH (11-TV bypass, 10-5.1CH, 01-2.0CH/PCM) on audio dip switch.
- If using audio embed feature, set audio setting to audio embed configuration (00). Verify audio is outputting from HDMI output port on extractor.
