Overview:
The JTech-18GSP12M is a Multi-resolution Output (MRO) 1X2 Splitter. Unit can support various resolutions to the two HDMI outputs. The unit has 3 different EDID settings (Copy, Fixed, Mixed). The Copy setting copies the EDID from the display to confirm compatibility. Mixing the output resolution allows both 4k and standard definition to be sent to the display. Using the Fixed setting will send a 4K signal to both displays. Power and HDMI Output LED indicator located on front of unit. This product is great for integrating a brand-new display with a legacy display. This splitter passes HD audio formats from the source. (PCM, LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio). Unit does pass CEC via output 1.
Application:
- Plug in power supply into USB port.
- Plug in HDMI source (PS4, Xbox One S, Roku 4, 4k Apple Tv, Set-Top-Box, Blue Ray Player) into HDMI input port on the back of the unit.
- Plug Display 1 input HDMI Output one, and Display 2 into Output 2
- Place EDID switch to desired mode(Fixed, Copy, Mixed)
Fixed Mode:

*Place EDID Toggle to fixed to send 4k@60Hz to both displays.
*MRO series splitters do not downscale to 720p. They do not change the scan type and they do not downscale HDR Metadata(HDR,HR10, Dolby Vision).
EDID Copy:

*Place EDID Toggle - output 2 will follow the resolution of output 1
*Source and display MUST support Dolby Vision format in order to experience Dolby Vision image and quality.
*Connect HIGHEST standard TV to output 1 when using this mode
*If you desire to achieve Dolby Vision, use EDID Copy Mode
Mixed Mode:

*Place EDID Toggle switch to Mixed Mode to achieve downscale of output 2.
*Connect HIGHEST standard TV to output 1 when using this mode.
Trouble Shooting:
No Video-
- Verify EDID toggle is in correct mode for desired setup(Copy, Fixed, Mixed)
- Output 1 and 2 LED is lit once input source is connected to device. If no video signal, verify LED light is on.
- Check to make HDMI cables are plugged in snug
- Power cycle unit and display, unplug all cables and let unit sit for a few seconds before plugging power and other connectors back in.
- Test another HDMI source to see if issue persist.
- Ensure that the highest standard TV is plugged into Output 1(EDID Copy and Mixed Mode)
No Audio-
- Check and verify audio format coming from source device is compatible with the audio formats the unit support.
- If unable to achieve Dolby Vision, verify EDID switch is in Copy Mode.(Device and TV must support Dolby Vision)
